Detailed Description
At C1, you’re not learning English anymore — you’re mastering it. Most people at this level can communicate well. But they still notice the ceiling: idiomatic expressions they miss, subtle tone in formal writing they can’t quite nail, the gap between sounding competent and sounding natural. C1 closes that gap. You’ll work on precision: choosing exactly the right word, structuring complex arguments, understanding cultural references, and producing academic or professional English that sounds polished. This is the level that gets you into top universities, competitive jobs, and international environments where English is the working language. You’ll also cover academic and professional writing, advanced listening — including lectures, podcasts, and news at full speed — and speaking with the fluency and register of a native-level professional.
Who it’s for: Near-native speakers who want to compete in elite academic or professional environments. Often combined with CAE exam preparation.
Outcome: You express yourself fluently, precisely, and appropriately across complex professional, academic, and social contexts.
Website Brief
You speak English well. But “well” isn’t enough when you’re competing for a top university place or an international career. C1 is where good becomes exceptional — precise vocabulary, sophisticated writing, and the kind of fluency that makes people forget you’re not a native speaker.
